Couldn't leave a comment? Oops!

This is a little apology to anyone who ever tried to post a comment and found they could only do so by being a blog member. We always wanted people to be able to leave comments. Now, hopefully, ANYONE can leave their pearls of wisdom, queries or general ramblings for us to ponder! Go on, have a try. The 'comment' button is just below...

And a bit more news: Cindy is at 32 weeks! We continue to thank God that things are progressing well with mother and baby. Thank you also to everyone who has been praying for us over the last few weeks.

Celebrating 29 weeks of life!

How do you prepare for a baby?! Since Cindy is now 29 weeks pregnant, it is time to think seriously about what we need. Thankfully, a number of friends have passed on their unwanted things, including this sizeable cot! Also, Cindy's mum is on the case, shopping for baby things even as we type.

It has been a challening four weeks. Cindy has been in hospital twice and is now resting at home due to premature contractions. She has to lie down most of the day, but as you can see she can sit up for short periods.

Still, we are thankful to God that all is well with our unborn baby. And Cindy is doing ok despite the discomfort. It has also given her time to catch up on some reading. Here are some of the books she has devoured over the last few weeks:
- "Soul Survivour" by Philip Yancey
- "A Family Guide to Biblical Truths in The Chronicles of Narnia"
- "Where is God When it Hurts?" by Philip Yancey
- "A Biography of John Sung" by Leslie T. Lyall
- "A Sting in the Tale" by Roy Clements
- "A Call to Spiritual Reformation" by D. Carson
and next she wants to read a couple of C. S. Lewis classics!

In the meantime, Chris has been preparing for his next sermon (on 28th May) which is on the Parable of the Sower, Luke 8. He has studied about 9 commentaries, so he thinks he is ready to start writing the message! This will be his fifth sermon and if he ever finds a way to do it he hopes to put them all online.

Finally, Cindy's bags are packed, and who knows if our next blog message will be BEFORE or AFTER the arrival of Wylie Junior... Posted by Picasa
